Barry and Sue McMiken take great pride in running a service of true international standard without leaving their hometown for the big city. Carlielle Kitchens has been a fixture in Pukekohe for over twenty years, and here we intend to stay – providing quality employment as well as stylish, cost-competitive kitchens and bathrooms.
Born and bred in the area, Barry completed his apprenticeship in Building and Joinery and worked for a number of local tradesmen before going out on his own designing and building homes. This eventually led to a role designing kitchens for Mike Carlielle, the founder of the firm, and subsequently taking over the ownership in 1996. Since that time, the full-time team has expanded from 6 to the current 25. Barry feels privileged to be able to offer young people of the area the same quality, old-fashioned apprenticeship training that he received. |

Behind every good man there stands a good woman – very true in the case of Carlielle Kitchens. Sue McMiken successfully combines overseeing the company’s marketing and financial departments with a busy family life. A well balanced team, Sue compliments Barry’s creativity and craftsmanship with a strong organisational and multi tasking ability.
Both Barry and Sue look at the business as one big family, and that happy, committed employees are just as important as happy, satisfied customers. Fortunately, they have plenty of both! |
