Jessica's brief from the clients was for the cabinetry to work with the home designed by Architect Jann Hurly and Interior Designer Paula Waterhouse. It is a large and timeless home and the interior needed to be designed to compliment the exterior and size.
The proportions have been accomplished by using chunky, solid benchtops and Acrocore. To bring the outside in, schist was used under the island to create repetition and add interest. The clients also wanted a fully functional scullery, which houses a second dishwasher, sink, microwave, bar fridge and Zenith boiling hot water unit.
Also incorporated on the way from the garage to the kitchen, casual dining, family room was an alcove for the telephone, car keys, cell phone charging and mail.
For the flow of the interior similar products have been used throughout the home in the bar, laundry and vanities, but each designed to be slightly special.
The master ensuite is a clever design using the stone vanity top to wrap around into the shower to create a ledge for shampoo, conditioner etc.
Feature LED lighting has also been used throughout the home.
