About Us

From generation to generation our experience and reputation continues to grow

A FAMILY BUSINESS

Carlielle Kitchens is a family owned company with a proud history of designing and manufacturing the highest quality kitchens in the Pukekohe area for the past two decades.

After taking over an established kitchen design company from Mike Carlielle in 1996, Sue and Barry McMiken grew their new business into what is now a close-knit team of 20 staff, each handpicked for his or her own area of expertise. A former builder, himself, Barry feels privileged to have been able to offer young people in the area the same quality, old-fashioned apprenticeship training that he received.

More recently, Barry and Sue have taken a step back from the business, as three of their children have come to the fore to continue Carlielle Kitchens’ vision and passion into the future.

As a long-established family business, we have been helping New Zealanders turn their kitchen dreams into reality for over 25 years.

DOUG MCMIKEN

General Manager

Doug McMiken joined the company in 2012 after completing a business studies degree at Massey University and working as a commercial manager for insurance company FMG.

Doug has taken on the role of general manager, overseeing marketing, large contract pricing and the direction of the company, and making sure that all parts of the business are working at their best together.

GREG MCMIKEN

Install Manager

Greg McMiken started out running the company's unique Acrocore door processing operation, and later the management of the whole workshop.  Greg is now responsible for overseeing all site work along with measuring and final quality checking.

Greg has inherited Barry’s expert problem solving ability as well as his high standards for workmanship.

TASHA MCMIKEN

Lead Detailer/Engineer & Scheduling

Tasha McMiken is the company’s technical and pricing expert, translating concept drawings into final working plans for the factory, managing scheduling and install teams.

Tasha’s role is challenging as every project we do is different to the next.  Her extensive experience allows her to decipher even the most complex job.

Tasha is currently on maternity leave with her second daughter, with Tarryn stepping in until she is back.

As a company built on integrity and reputation, Carlielle Kitchens is proud to say over 80 per cent of its work comes through word of mouth from satisfied customers. And although most of their customers are based around the Franklin and Auckland areas, they also work further afield in Northland, Coromandel, Waikato and Waiheke Island.

The Carlielle Kitchens philosophy has always been to consider their business as one big family, and that happy, committed employees are just as important as happy, satisfied customers. Fortunately, they have plenty of both!
