Clevedon - Bespoke
A substantial house fire prompted the complete rebuild and extension of this stately Clevedon character home. The brief was to honour the proportions and detailing of the original architecture while introducing refined, bespoke cabinetry throughout the interior.
The kitchen and adjoining spaces were designed to feel both timeless and purposeful, with custom joinery carefully proportioned to suit the scale of the home. A standout feature is the under-stair wine cellar — crafted in dark stained American Oak veneer and framed with blackened steel fins. The structure maximises bottle storage while creating a dramatic architectural focal point within the living space.
In the den, built-in TV cabinetry was designed using 60mm thick lacquered panelling, echoing the weight and character of the home’s traditional detailing. Integrated drawer storage below ensures a clean, uncluttered finish.
The mudroom entry cabinetry is another key feature, providing durable and functional storage for a family lifestyle. Designed as a practical landing zone after equestrian events or time working on the property, the custom joinery balances robustness with refined detailing.
This Clevedon project reflects our approach to bespoke kitchen and cabinetry design in Auckland — carefully considered materials, precise manufacturing, and cabinetry built to complement the architecture it sits within.
