Manuwai - Wardrobe

As part of our award-winning Manuwai project, this bespoke wardrobe continues the architectural language established in the kitchen and bar — grounded, textural and deeply considered.

Crafted in the same crown cut, brushed American White Oak veneer stained to a deep grey tone, the wardrobe delivers material continuity throughout the home. The cabinetry is designed not simply for storage, but for display.

A key feature was the owner’s handbag collection. Rather than conceal it, we designed illuminated display zones framed by dark veneer panelling, allowing each piece to sit proudly within softly diffused LED lighting. The effect is both functional and gallery-like.

Extensive shoe storage was carefully integrated with open shelving and vertical LED illumination to provide clarity and depth. Dedicated upper shelving accommodates hat boxes and seasonal storage, maintaining clean visual lines while ensuring practicality.

Full-height hanging zones, integrated drawer storage, and tailored compartment sizing reflect the same precision applied across the wider Manuwai project.

This bespoke wardrobe design demonstrates how custom joinery can elevate daily life — combining craftsmanship, proportion, and lighting to create a refined and highly personal space.
